Though the Dalton Golf & Country Club dates to 1915, the current property was purchased in 1924 and began as a 9-hole course. The course was expanded to 18 holes and redesigned by Gary Player in the early 1970’s and has recently been modified by golf course architect Bill Boswell.
The course enjoys tree lined Bermuda fairways which demand straight tee shots and undulating bentgrass greens which place a premium on approach shots. With utilizing the different tee placements, this course can both be challenged and a challenge for all skill levels.
Dalton Golf and Country Club has all the practice facilities a family needs. It has 2 regulation putting greens, a greenside bunker and a fairway bunker to practice your sand play, and an expansive driving range that can accommodate 36 players hitting balls at one time. The club also has a “wee links” golf course comprised of 3 holes ranging from 50 to 150 yards. This area allows members to work on their short game or children to learn how to play without being rushed on the course. Dalton golf & country club is a place where your whole family can come out and enjoy the game of golf.
